Exclamation Please help! I don't know if something is wrong

Hi, I'm newer to this website. I have noticed my Syrian hamster, Phyllis has been flopping over a lot. I've never seem this behavior from her before until last night. She runs on her wheel but stops and lays down with her eyes closed after a bit. Last night she got off her wheel and had her cheek against the glass of her tank. I'm hoping she's not ill. Her appetite is the same and she drinks water. I'm not quite sure how old she is, I got her from petsmart a year ago and they didn't say anything about how old she was when adopting her. If anyone knows what may be going on please let me know. I would like to know what the issue is and help her. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Hello and welcome to HC!

Sorry to hear that your hamster is flopping over.
There could be so many reasons for that but only a vet would be able to tell you.

Like with humans, an ear infection could affect the balance, could be age related or could be a number of other things.

If she's still flopping over, i'd make an appointment with an exotics or hamster knowledgable vet who may be able to diagnose and treat.

All you can do is to make sure that her environment is safe for her and that everything essential is within easy reach.
