Default Hamster so much braver

So Ive har my Panda since the 25 of September. Until yesterday I’ve had to sit absolutely quietly in the room for her to come out then slowly move toward cage to give her treats. But now when I went in to close the curtains she pops her head out and looks out at me. She still is scared about being picked up she will sometimes sit with 4 paws in my hand but if I lift it like 1-2 cm up she becomes scared. So basically we are still practicing that, but I’m just thrilled she seems less scared.

She is still a bit uneven, Sometimes, she ll happily sit in my hand eating treats and grooming herself while she got all 4 paws in my hand, then later on when I look at her, when shes in her Sandbath she runs like her life depends on it. She is quite nippy at times, even if I wash my hands before and rub bedding on my hands. But she is only about 15, 16 weeks, so I dont know if it could just be a phase.

She's lovely.
Have you tried out of cage time and taming?

Ooh thank!
I’m working on getting her to have a run in the bathtub. But she has been very sceptical off getting it in the taxi and I wouldn’t want to carry her that far right now.

Managed to get her int our bathtub she mainly she ran around quite a bit seemed a little bit stressed, took treats and sat in my hand. Only had her out for 5-10 min. The only problem is that I need a better hamster taxi as she climbed out of it and on to my shoulder. Any suggestions? I used a measuring jug.

I used a hamster ball at first to carry a very wriggly and impatient young hamster to the play area.
I've been carrying him in my hands for quite a long time now but at first he would have jumped off.

A safe means of transport is the one and only thing a hamster ball is good for but never to let a hamster run around in one.

I might try it with a travel cage next time. She lets me lift her sometimes after she is already in my hands, I don’t think she would let me pick her up yet.
