My female syrian hamster, Quark, has gotten used to a HUGE free roam space in my home but she can no longer safely roam there because of a new couch. There's a possibility of her crawling in and getting stuck!
Any attempts I've made at a smaller roaming space seems to stress her out as she gets frantic at trying to escape.
I'm not sure what else to do and all I want is for her to have an enriching roam space as her cage is the minimum size and I can't get a bigger one.
I've been trying to find ways to block out the couch but it would involve a LOT of plasticboxes that I just don't have because she chews through cardboard ones so easily. And like I said, she seems to hate being boxed in a smaller space. And on the other hand I have no idea how to get her to enjoy a smaller space - which is bigger than her cage..!
Please help!!!
