Default How to stop hammy escaping cage?

My hamster has escaped her cage twice! I even built a new cage for her and she still escaped . I'm trying to get her back but she's sleeping right now and wont come out till the evening . How do i stop her from escaping ?

What kind of cage do you have? Can you post a picture?

The only way to stop her from escaping is to provide her with a secure and escape proof enclosure.
Do you not know how she escapes?

If it’s a tank style and she’s pushing the lid off then some people put books on top. If it’s a cage then is the bar spacing the right size? Some cage doors are easy for hamsters to open so you may need bulldog clips or similar to keep them securely closed.
