Default Re: Hamster running too much?

It’s not unusual for them to go a bit crazy in the wheel to begin with, they also tend to run if they’re feeling a bit stressed which can just be part of them adjusting to a new home & owners, it’s only with very young babies, younger than those that would be available in pet shops, that you need worry about them overdoing it.
A lot of tuys & chews that are sold for hamsters just don’t appeal to them at all, try scatter feeding to keep her busy with natural behaviour & if you can get them a whimzee dog chew (the toothbrush ones are best) is usually a favourite with hams over hamster chew toys.
