Outdoor play ?
Does anyone take their hamster outdoor?
Pixel enjoys frolicking in the small shaded grass area on the garden. With me of course. For less than 30min.
Is this ok.

Re: Outdoor play ?
There really is no reason for hamsters to be outside. It's extremely dangerous even with supervision for so many reasons, so you should definitely not be doing this for any period of time.

Re: Outdoor play ?
I would never take my hamster outside, I would be so scared of loosing her and you have no idea what they could pick up from outside. In my opinion it's putting your hamsters life at risk, unnecessarily.

Re: Outdoor play ?
If the hamster has places to hide and is in an escape proof run and there has been no animal wee on the ground then I cant see the harm.
Will be interested in peoples ooinions on this.

Re: Outdoor play ?
Nah, too risky to take him outdoors but i'll stand by an open window holding him so he can sniff different outdoor scents..once the temperature is warm enough in the evening.
