Default Need my sanity please

Hi again all need some advice again please,
My one hamster runs in her wheel for about an hour each day as shes more of a climber. My other hamster holmes is running in her wheel for a minimum of three hour stints i kid you not about twice a day.... first i know hamsters can run alot but i never thought that much especally a dwarf and secondly is that normal?
Second as shes not one for much space like phileas as she likes to dig i brought her an extention to the combi one so she has the combi 1 and 2 now. Its a great extention but the wheel is dreadful and makes a massive racket but i dont know what to do other that get her another cage like phileas the fop berine ?

Opions adivce desperatly needed.

Is there any way you can make the wheel less noisy by greasing with vaseline on the spindle, swapping for a silent spinner or padding underneath with a bath mat? It is a bit pricey to go and get yet another cage. Some hamsters do run a lot and are very speedy.
Could you mive her to a different room at night as far away from you as possible so you cant hear her?
As long as she is not losing weight and eating well I would not worry how much she runs but if she is then she may need to have restricted wheel access to maybe all evening then at bed time the wheel comes out? She will likely settle in time.

hammies do just really love to run. I'd say dwarfs actually run more, being a bit more active. Like Souffle said as long as shes not wearing herself out or losing weight it should be fine. I did used to take the wheel out of Peggy's cage at night because it made such a racket. But i could tell she was bored so i put it bk and eventually i just got used to it.
