Climbing nutter
Should I be worried about Chewbaccas climbing? I know he's a cheeky active boy, and it's natural, but boy, I'm worried he's going to get an injury falling. I've made it as soft a landing as I can.. buuuuuut still. There's the ledge! Am I being over worried? x

Re: Climbing nutter
It is a real worry this I know but they seem to very seldom hurt themselves though we have had a few broken tails (you can't do anything about these and just need to let them heal) and one bruised leg when he fell on a bowl. He probaly doesn't drop unless you are in the room but climbs down nicely. How does he get up?

Re: Climbing nutter
From his little 1st floor bit. Or his swing. Or anything he can clamber on. He loves to climb. He is getting better at it. I've had a look for something dangly he can climb to. When he was in his barred room he climbed that all the time, but as it was a mountain of bedding underneath I didn't worry. He seems milldly obsessed with getting on top of his wheel lol. If anyone can recommend something to climb about with that I can make that would be corking.
I'll worry less, and keep a close eye on the wally

My syrians Stella and Sausage are always hanging upside down from the top of their cages! They seem to love climbing everything
Sometimes they do fall but they have not hurt themselves yet luckily

Thats a good idea actually I didn't think of that lol I have some hammocks/hanging things in my cages to soften the fall and im thinking of getting a few more hammocks or making my own to cushion their falls
Sausage hardly ever falls now, he used to go splat all the time but he seems to have got better at hanging/climbing now

I have one of these for Sausage:
Which he absolutely loves! He climbs on top of it as well as running through it
Stella has one of these:
which she used to climb on top of the ladder on but I moved it so she can't get on top of it as it really worried me as Stella has had a stroke so I'm a bit overprotective of her!! She sleeps in the hammock part of it (I think that might just be because when i cleaned out her cage I just shoved a load of tissue in there for her to take to her nest but she couldn't be bothered to move it lol! )

Re: Climbing nutter
Oh my I like both of those, they could be swapped around. But the second one looks like it has chainy things - I'd be scared of finding him hanging by his foot. WORRIER!
The first one looks cracking. Bring on more chewy gifts Thanks! x

Yeah thats true about the second one - it does have chain and Stella did almost get stuck in it once so I am keeping a close eye on her.... its one of the reasons I moved it away from the edge of the cage so she can't climb on top of it any more but she likes the hammock part
The yellow one is definitely the best I got it from pets at home from the bird section!
