Eating twice as much
My hamster is eating twice as much food this past month now but sleeping less. Is he eating more because it's getting colder? But wouldn't he sleep more not less? he's a Syrian, little over a year and a half. I do check his house where he stores his food and looked other places but find no stock pile anywhere. he's up to double the amount he usually eats. He as not gain any noticeable weight, he's not over weight either. I'm just curious about the food in take going on.

Re: Eating twice as much
They do often eat & hoard a bit more in winter, if the room's still warm he won't necessarily sleep more although some do, if he's not gaining weight then he's probably using it up with more activity.
