I just looked at the photo and he really looks like a syrian to me lol but that might be because i haven't seen many dwarfs! His face shape made me think he was a syrian though

I can see what you mean by him looking like a syrian but he looks dwarf sized to me. A very cute lil one
Good idea thinking hamster! i do that too by hiding food in the places i would search if i was a hammy

I think he is a black Campbells dwarf and a real cutie too. They are not very common.
He sounds to be making good progress. Take care with too many sweet treats for this species as they can be prone to diabetes.
I'm sure he will be tame in no time

well, i've had my hamster for a month now and i've come to a conclusion that my hamster is just straight up lazy lol. he'll sleep through anything except for when i give him a half of a milkbone. that's the only time he'll wake up.
