I'm having a bit of trouble deciphering your message. From what I'm gathering, this just sounds like a normal hamster thing. Hamsters leave scent trails via their bellies so staying close to the ground makes sense. He probably didn't even notice there was a cat tbh.
Please try to keep this cat out, not only for your ham, but for your own safety. Feral cats can have fleas, parasites, or even rabies, and could be a danger to you and any pets. Please try to secure the door or window so everyone stays safe xxx
