Bum in the air while peeing

My new syrian does this and so did one of my last hansters. Why do some do it and others dont. All my syrians have been males.

It's a little hammy hand stand, right? I'm not sure quite why... perhaps to launch their urine as far as they can go? It's quite cute.

I'm not quite sure why some do and some don't, but I know most of mine have. Perhaps it's a territorial thing, such as with dominant dogs raising their legs? I too think it's quite adorable whatever the reason may be!

My previous Syrians, both male and female raised their tail whilst peeing. I haven't noticed my dwarf hamster do it. Although I don't know if she has peed while I was watching her.

All the males I've had have done that, the females are more discreet.

I know one of my male robos does it, I'd assume the other one does too. It's kind of cute lol!
