Question Fingers food?

Recently I noticed my Ham Ham Botan has developed this habit of latching on to my fingers too the point I can pick her up while she is latched on to my finger. It doesn't hurt so is it because she think my fingers are food and before any one says it yes iv washed my hands before handling her.

I don't know.

How old is she? When did she start to do this? Is she tamed? Some pups could have problems to distinguish what is food and what not if you have been hand feeding them, and as long as they don't drew out blood is ok, because they usually grow out of it, but it sounds like she may be bitting too hard.

Some will do that when they're in the cage but not when they're out, if she is one of those then avoid putting your hand in the cage when she's up for a while, try offering her something to climb in to for out of cage time & she will probably get out of the habit.

I'm not sure how old she was when I got her from the pet store but I got her on the 24 of may and she started do that latch thing around june second. I'm not sure if she could be considered tamed cuz she won't sit still on my hand but I can pet her. Also if she was bitting to hard wouldn't it hurt or draw blood.

She is more likely classed as semi tame/ partly tame. She may just be taking longer to get to the next level.
