Default Any advice?

Hello so it is me again haha!
I posted a thread a while back asking about what do with Basil because he stays in his den until very very late.
After that I had a break through and I had a great routine of a 9pm get up, and he was so great. He got up as soon as he heard me and was really happy to come out and play and I finally thought I had won the battle.
But for the last 2 nights he has started to not come out when I call. I have tried talking to him, offering him food, shaking his food box, gently rustling his bedding and all he ever does is poke his head out, and if im lucky his body, but not enough that i could pick him up.
He always has his ears up (but not pushed forward) and looks very happy and content but then looks at me for a second and shuffles back inside to his house.
It's sounds silly but I get quite upset about it because he really means a lot to me and I just hate the thought of not getting him out for play time.
Can anybody help? Thank you so much.
