My old hamster used to sort her poo into piles - 1 for bed (made lovely snacks it seemed) and 1 for useless poos no longer wanted. I could sit and watch her do that for ages.

is that really litter trained then

my first hamster kept his sleeping place clean. and sometimes you could see him throwing his poo outside the bed. he had different places for food storage, weeing and sleeping. i didnt even have to train him.

my other two hamsters just do everything in their bed. i tried to litter train them...but no success. so i clean them out more often
