Default Hamster know where the door is???

Hello everyone! So I have a ham she's a syrian and whenever she gets in her ball she runs in front of my door for long periods of time. I brought her home for break and I've noticed her do this in different rooms. Then again I've seen her run back and forth in random places too. Is it possible she recognizes doors? Or maybe the door in my dorm room? Thanks!

Quite possible, there will be a change in air flow & different scents around doors, even with only the smallest of gaps so a ham would sense that.

I agree with Cypher, my Syrian used to do this all the time (she chewed her way out of her other ball&#128514 with my bedroom door

Hetty does this too, as soon as she's in her ball she dives for the door to see if it's open! And whilst I'd like her to have the run of the house I have a German shepherd that lives downstairs and very steep stairs that I know she'll throw herself down! So door permanently shut
