Nibbly Nori
Hey everybody some of you may have seen my other posts so far but I'd just like to probe further about my previous question.
The taming is going well and he's taking food readily including putting his paws on my hands to take a sunflower seed or two but once the nibbles are gone if I leave my hand there he starts to try and eat me! He's never drawn blood and it basically seems as if he's just thinks I could be food or is trying to get me to produce more food but it does hurt enough that I can't leave my hand in. I've been doing the tissue thing for my scent but during day to day eating etc. I have to wash my hands and I don't know if its the soap or what?
So I'm wondering how do I stop him trying to eat me. Will it just go away with time and he gets used to the fact I'm not edible or could it be territorial because he hasn't got the biggest of houses yet but after much deliberation I'll be using one of my Detolfs so he'll have oodles of space then. Just have to build the lid and get something for it to go on
Many thanks Nat and Nori

Re: Nibbly Nori
It sounds as though he's just doing a little bit of totally normal exploring! It can take them a little while to figure out what is & what isn't food when you first hand feed, they do normally figure things out & grow out of it though.

Ok thank you I hope he grows out of it haha it's amazing how much more confident he os around me in the last few days he doesn't run and hide now when I'm in the room and if I pit my face to the side of the cage he runs up and looks at me

Re: Nibbly Nori
Try to use a fragrance free hand wash before contact.
