I never see my hamster

Hi,

Well, I know that hamsters are nocturnal, so maybe this shouldn't worry me. But after I bought my hamster a new and bigger cage I barely see her anymore. She's been in this cage for 2 weeks. I know she's out at night cause she's taken the food and snacks and sometimes my boyfriend can hear the wheel, but I almost never see her.

As we both work we get up early (6 am) and goes to bed quite early too (10 pm), so I kinda miss her cute face And this also means that I rarely have had her out of her cage this last 2 weeks. I think I will set an alarm very early tomorrow so I might see her before work :I

But otherwise, should I wake her sometimes? Is she just still not used to the new cage?

It can take up to a couple of weeks for them to really adjust to a new cage sometimes so it may just be that your ham is still settling in & getting used to things.
I think it would be worth getting up early to spend some time with her & if you can observe her in the cage & see how happy she seems with things now.
You could try making some gentle noises, rustling food bags can often work, to wake her around the time you used to see her or at a time that seems reasonable for both you & her & see how you get on, don't start to early though, you can gradually make the time earlier but I wouldn't do too much too soon.

If you can do a routine where you try to gently draw attention and offer treats at the same time every morning and evening you should eventually expect to see your hammie waiting for you. It would be good to have a set play time too with a playpen or toys in a tub. Hamsters are actually most active at dawn and dusk if that helps. You can try soft or red lighting at night to encourage him to come out. Take it slowly and remember routine is the key. Give him something to get up for.
