Happy?
I've had my Syrian Acorn for a little over a month now. I do as much bonding time as possible while avoiding stressing out the little guy. The past day or two, he's been approaching the cage door, so I'll let him out. He's started climbing in and out on his own. Once he's out, he runs around my room nonstop and tries to crawl into the little crevices I keep him out of. He doesn't seem at all nervous about being handled, although he's very squirmy if I try to carry him back to the safe play area. I'm not sure if this is a sign of fear or if he's just turning out to be a little bundle of energy. At most, he tolerates being held, but he's always eager to jump out of my hand and crawl back under my bed or into my closet. Is he afraid or just curious?

Re: Happy?
Sounds as though he's just being a typical young ham, curious, full of energy & eager to get into trouble, I'd call that happy

Re: Happy?
I agree, he sounds like a happy normal young ham!
