Unhappy What to do ???

Guys I think I made a big mistake . I posted a previous thread about redesigning her cage and I did as most people told me , I left her hidey , food bowl and potty alone . But since then she hasn't really been herself . I put her in her travel cage to clean her actual cage out and she was going mad in there trying to escape . Bar chewing , burrowing , climbing bars , you name it ! I let her in the carry cage earlier for her to get used to it so I'm guessing that she wasn't stressed out in there so that's probably not the issue . She hasn't really been coming out of her nest lately and no running on her wheel too . This isn't like her AT ALL . Minnie always begs for attention and keeps us up all night running on her wheel (her wheel is pretty noisy). As far as I can tell she hasn't got runny poop so thats probably not signs of wet tail right ??! Should I put her cage back into her old design or will that stress her out even more ?? Please reply , I'm really worried about my little fluff ballI feel so bad...........

Try to see if she will go on your hand, I she does examine her for things like tumors, check her belly and all that stuff.

How long has it been? Some hams prefer to be in the cage when you're cleaning, others not. She may well adjusting to the changes made.

Velma's made a good point - my ham Twinkle prefers to be in the cage when I'm cleaning it, she actually helps with it.

I wouldn't rearrange the cage again, just give her some time to adjust to the new set up, it can take up to a couple of weeks for them to really get used to things, once the cage is set up in a way that works for both them & you I find it best to leave things well alone as much as possible.
As the others have said some do prefer to be in the cage when you clean so try that next time & see if she's happier with that.

Good news ! I heard her usual noises coming from the room she's in and she was out ! Wasn't exactly how she usually is but hey ! She actually came out !! I didn't play with her or interact with her as I didn't wan't to stress her out again. I would leave her in her cage while I'm cleaning it out but she always comes and begs for attention . Trust me I've tried .. Example: I'm scooping the dirty bedding out with a dustpan . She comes and sits in the dustpan and she . does . not . budge .I have to lure her out with a treat . Another example : I get her tubes out to wash them out . She crawls into the tubes and waits for me to pick it up . And plus since she's not fully tame she occasionally gives me a little nip . She's a silly little thing :roll eyes: This evening she was out again (yay!) so I decided to try and get her onto my hand to check if there is anything wrong . Nothing seems different to me so hopefully she's fine , just a bit of stress probably . Anyway she got plenty of treats and veggies from me as a peace offering
