Re: are they fighting
yes this squeeking and pinning each other down is normal. Have you provided 2 wheels? you should also make sure there are no toys, such as tubes that they can trap each other in or make claim over

Re: are they fighting
Make sure you don't give them a food bowl either. Scatter feed them and hide food around the cage so they can forage. They enjoy the log bridges and ours rather like things you can climb inside like critter baths and the globes and TVs. They do need one each though of course!

i really wouldn't give those to a pair to be honest, because even though there's two, they will still end up fighting over one, or if one hamster decides to attack another, the one under attack can be trapped inside with the other one going at him.

Re: are they fighting
They will be fine and you will feel loads more relaxed with them now. I would start taming them and they will become really people friendly and enjoy their out time now.

Re: are they fighting
change of plan
ive made them a huge tub box and they seem fine, they have 2 wheels, houses tubes,i take the wheels out at night and replace with 2 egg boxes. they seem so much happier. i scatter the food around
anything else i should add for them.
we have kept the other cage just incase lol
