How big is it or whats the name of it? If his cage is small then that is more than likely the reason he is chewing bars. He's more than likely bored and is telling you he wants to get out.

I have moved him into a bigger cage today to see how he gets on it also has some extra toys it is a MINI Coco Rat & Hamster Cage. fingers crossed this can help him a little bit. I just love him so much and i know that he is only a baby.

yes candice clews he started to settle down, he only nips occasionally, he is like a totally new hammy. He escaped the cage the first night but the cage is now hamster proof. He likes his new cage you were right. Thank you for the help.
