Exclamation Hamster stress?

My syrian hamster will be 4 months old and I am worried about his behavior. He constantly runs all around his cage and stops and watches. All normal behavior but he does it constantly and hes doing it where it seems very frantic. Watching him is very stressful because hes just constantly doing this behavior and climbing up and down things very clumsily. Hes in a large bin cage and I put new things in it all the time because I feel maybe hes bored with whats in there. I also try to keep him out for an hour in the ball (with breaks). No matter what I do its not helping him or me. Now hes progressed to destroying his cage daily. He pushes his wheel from one side to the other. Flips his potty box over and the popcicle stick platform I made. He had (I took it out today) a large ceramic house he would flip over, I don't know how because its heavy. i also noticed that hes constantly itching, I checked for mites but he has none but he is thinning out his fur from itching so much. I am at my wits end because his restlessness is causing me to lose sleep, I now have dark circles and large bags under my eyes (i look so old and I am only 21. all this has happened in 3 months). I sleep horribly with him in the room but when I take him out I sleep even worse because I don't like my hamsters being in a separate room at night. I don't know what to do. My family is trying to convince me to get rid of him because I can't sleep and its negatively effecting my health. I don't want to get rid of him at all so I am desperately looking for alternatives. Please help.
