Consider him your private biology tutor

To answer your question: First more, then less. When we're little we don't know any better, then we do know better, and finally we just don't care

Lol! It sounds like a game to me - like yah boo sucks! You move things, I pee in them. He probably thinks you can't see what he is doing if he turns that way round lol! On the other hand, some pets do fall in love with their owners. I remember seeing a TV programme about it once where experts analysed pets behaviour. One man had a canary who used to sit on his bald head, and apparently that meant the canary was in love with him and had adopted him as a mate.

Or the canary was trying to hatch his bald head?

I'm sure hams mark things this way when stuff gets moved....but like most animals, they tend to be a bit reclusive when going to the bathroom. Except Pook. Pook finds you, turns his butt to you, and sprays....in broad daylight. And will try till he succeeds....

Like I said. It didn't matter he had to sit on his food dish....it was the only angle for his nefarious purpose....and moving the dish four inches away? and Pook with it? he got right back into position. I let him sniff the paper towel after I cleaned it up.....he wasn't phased....maybe mildly intrigued? Then waddled off...

I think he's just big on sharing his accomplishments, however small. Or figures that water is good, and warmth is good....so its a gift with two in one?

Pook is a real character! I think they can read our minds. I read somewhere on here that Hamsters can be stubborn - so maybe they can be contrary as well. Actually I have no idea where Charlie is weeing at the moment - probably in his new house as he has ignored the potty tray since I put the new house in (I knew I should have put the potty tray inside the house), despite my leaving a trail of treats leading to the potty tray. I just hope he hasn't 'marked' every inch of the house!

Pook doesn't ignore the potty tray. He uses it as a sandbath , digbox. How clean those potty pellets make his coat is another question.... LOL

It doesn't help to tell him back in the day, we had to potty outside and walk fifty miles to school in barefeet, in the snow everyday.....it puts him to sleep......

Kids......

Maybe he is just very possessive and wants to mark you as his territory! But you always destroy his effort by washing your hands... :-p
