Having failed to find a way of tunnelling out through the plastic he is maybe either building a wooden horse or a glider in a bid to escape!!

Lol! Wooden horse definitely - or wooden hamster, hoping you won't notice the difference in size and material, take it out of the cage while he sneaks out from underneath and makes a break for the maquis.

Now that he noticed I'm on to him? He hasn't done it?

I look forward to seeing what you find...

he's learning to beatbox as a party trick and you're making him self conscious.

I discovered what it was.

Ziggy had taken his Whimzee chew into his wheel/nest/stash. So, yup, he was being a very well behaved hamster...chewing on his toy, causing no damage, and being dentally healthy....

No doubt such good behavior is a cover for hatching the most evil and destructive plans! I don't buy this "Oh, suddenly I love my Whimzee!" routine for a moment....

Lol - Charlie was making a heck of a racket last night. I think he was digging an escape tunnel in his hay house - which is just a cardboard box with hay stuck on. It's nice and dark inside it, but I think he'll be disappointed with what is on the other side if he makes a tunnel. Also doing a 'I'm pretending to just sharpen my nails" routine.
