Default Obsessive Wheel-Running?

My 4 week old Syrian girl, Mozzarella, is running on her wheel. Constantly! So fast you can barely see her feet, lol. But in all seriousness, should I take it out? To get her to pace herself? She's never had a wheel before now. Mozza hasn't slept much, she's just been running.

Teddy did that, off and on, when I first got her. I think it's excitement.. I wouldn't take the wheel out, she'll stop when she's exhausted. Or, maybe distract her, for a few minutes if you feel she may not stop.. Don't want her to overheat.

Natural! All mine did the same when I brought them home. I don't think Penny had a wheel at least for a while before I got her. The boys didn't have much space so they ran to their hearts content as well! I'd have a cool tile in there for her to lay on if needed. I don't know if they use them for that purpose though. I haven't seen mine use a tile to cool down. Wicket thinks they are great to pee on though. lol

I found sets of ceramic tiles on amazon for inexpensive. I bought a set. 2 are stuck together, which is fine, it went in Teddy's cage. She does use it to lay on for cool down.
Candy I used 1 of the tiles, placed it in front of her water bottle, to catch drips.
And another up on her handmade landing- I've not seen her lay on it, but it's there if she needs to cool down.
