How to make my Winter White more active?
So, my WW (she's grey and hasn't changed color at all not even in the colder climates, is this because we live in a hotter place like oh IDK, Florida? So maybe it doesn't trigger it at all?) doesn't become active at all much anymore.
I'm estimating she's about a year old or so no more than that. I feed her hazel hamster and Sunburst Higgins, Spinach, Lettuce (Romain, not Icebug!) and a bit of shredded carrot every other day.
She doesn't run in her wheel anymore and yes, she has the option of a wired wheel and a flying saucer, she doesn't even come out of her igloo to burrow or anything. It seems she just sleeps. And, don't say I'm wrong because I'm up a lot late at night??
At first when I brought Mortimer home (my mouse) she seemed intrigued by his scent/hormones, and now she's like used to it and sleeping all the time. I don't think she's got diabetes cause my other hamster did and my Winter White just doesn't have that odor at all.
Should I get her more toys? She doesn't like to chew on anything I give her, and her teeth aren't over grown or anything... Maybe it's her diet? Should I import some hamster Muslie? Like more than just Harry Hamster? I fill the bowl all the way in case your wondering, so maybe I should just give her portions.
Should I build a playpen (like the ones you see in the shop) and add toys and try to play with her? I know she's not a dog, but I could try SOMETHING. I mean, hamster agility? SOMETHING? She needs to exercise and needs to roam around because just sleeping all the time worries me.
If anything anyone can recommend that'd be great. I don't think she needs to go to the vet and I don't think she needs any special treatment I just think she needs a little TLC? That's all really.
