Default Signs that I know my hammy is happy?

Hey everyone (:

I was just wondering what signs there are for me to know for sure my little ones are happy. I have two hybrid dwarfs and one Robo dwarf, they all live seperately.

Gizmo is our boy hybrid and he comes out his cage a lot, atleast 4 times a day for atleast 10/15 minutes, he loves to run around and explore or just sit with me. He has an occasional dig/burrow in his cage but is on his wheel a lot during the night, he also loves his food and drinks a lot! He also loves rolling around in his sand bath and isn't persistent with his sleeping pattern.

Gimli is our girl hybrid, she is Gizmo's sister and we're currently taming her. She's making good progress but she's not comfortable with me picking her up and she's very quick so she can only come out of her cage and be put in a pen with her toys ect. This doesn't happen everyday but I am able to hold her when I put treats on my hand she happily walks on and eats them, I do this once/twice a day. She loves to burrow/dig and loves her wheel but she does sleep a lot during the day, she has a sand bath but I've only seen her have a quick dig. She eats her dinner but is abit picky with certain things and she drinks just fine but not as much as Gizmo.

Snowy is our Robo, we got her 8 days ago. She's adopted and very very shy and scared of me and my boyfriend. I've not once seen her on her wheel, she does like to climb tho and I've seen her crawling on the bars at the top of her cage, but I last saw this about 3/ days ago. She seems to eat well and her water does go down tho I haven't seen her drink, she loves to dig/burrow! She has a sand bath too but I've only noticed her pee inside it. We cleaned out her cage yesterday and she was terrified, once we put her back in she went to her nest and I haven't actually seen her since, but her food has been eaten and I can see tunnels she's made. She's very scared of humans but that is understandable.

So anyway, I just wanted to see if there was my signs to look out for so that I know I they're happy or sad, it's mostly Snowy that I'm worried about. Even if I never get her to the point of trusting me or being tame I just want her to feel safe and happy. I hope I'm doing everything right by them!

Thanks a lot in advance (:

Snowy is still getting used to the environment most likely, so I wouldn't worry too much about her. Try keeping the cleaning to a minimal now in the beginning, and hopefully you didn't clean her entire cage. Regardless, when you do clean a cage try keeping some of the old bedding too, this is going to allow the hammy to still recognize it as its own rather than panicking and having to go through all the scenting again.
About hamster happiness, I'd say that as long as they seem to be enjoying what they do, and are healthy, they should be happy. I see no reason for it to be otherwise. For example, I have 3 hybrids, two girlies and one boy.
The girls like to run around a lot and groom each other and jump on my hand and stuff their little pouches with food. So that to me is a happy ham
The boy likes to sleep a lot more than the girlies do, not big on grooming but loves the sandbath (Thank God) and he really likes being out of his cage and sleeping in my hands (he is all about the sleeping) .
Your hammies sound happy to me! You are doing a great job, no worries
One note about Gimli, are you picking her up with your hands from her cage? If so I would suggest using a little cup, because she will be curious and hop in and that way you avoid intruding on her territory. It works well with my munchkins

Ino it'll take Snowy some time to adjust it just makes me so sad to see her so scared and try and run away ): I'll just have to spot clean for now coz as you said a full cleaning should probably be left for a while as she did seem very unsettled afterwards! Yeah I'm aware about leaving some fimiar scent around so hopefully she doesn't feel too intruded!

When I take Gimli out the cage I lift her when she is inside a tunnel or in her bowl ect, she only ever jumps on my hand atm when I have treats on it for her but she is getting very good with trusting me, she's improving more each day!

Thanks a lot for the help (: I guess I'll just look out for unfimiliar behaviour but everything seems to be good for now! Thanks so much I hope they are happy (:
