Post Taming Gracey-Girl

I've had my hamster Grace for a while now and i want to tame her. She is a very friendly Syrian and will let me stroke her back and she takes food from my hand. I want her to be fully tame but to be honest I'm quite scared about being bitten. Any previous hamsters I've had have been tame already, so it was never a problem. Please help me and I will keep you noted on the progress xx

Hi there, I am in the same situation as you and would also like advice! Always had tamed syrians in the past but I have had my new hamster Humbug for a week now... she too is friendly (a little jumpy at times), lets me stroke her back when she's wandering around or stuffing her face and takes food from my hand... when I've tried to introduce my hand for her to walk on or attempted to scoop her up - she either avoids it, gives me the defensive mini snarl (haha) or investigates and goes for a little nip - never bitten because I've taken my hand away... Not sure what my next step should be?!... Especially as now I'm as nervous about handling her as she is lol! Think we are in the right place to find help though! x

Me three
My Noriko was getting used to me quickly, or so I thought…
now she wants to bite when I put my hand in the cage.
Wondering if she's associating me with food too much?
I've used a running ball to get her out, but she seems to be getting more scared.
