Default Chinese "dwarf" hamsters

Hi everyone...

Today my girlfriend and I bought two female chinese "dwarf" hamsters, after getting them home and setting up the cage one proceeded to just go to bed and we havent seen her since, however the other one appears to have made her own bed elsewhere in the cage using a toilet roll tube we have given them. They get on together fine and we were just wondering if this is a normal thing for them to do (create seperate beds).

Cheers for any response

It is normal for new hammies to be a bit confused when they move home and sleep in all sorts of odd places such as potties, tubes and wheels. They will soon establish a routine and get things sorted out to their liking and may or may not nest together. Watch them carefully for any signs of not getting along because as they mature chinese females can fight. This is the case with all dwarfs really. Looking forward to meeting them soon. What are they called?
