Hip spots

Hi all, I've noticed Stewie seems to be licking his hip spots more lately, and they sometimes appear to be very wet! is this normal?

It is normal and he is likely just distributing his scent around. We find they vary in how wet the scent glands get. definitly worse in boys when they smell a lady! They can get infected but it is unusual and are likely to look red and swollen. As they get older the fur on the scent glands tend to get thinner or be lost and they become more pigmented.
