Hi Gazmo,

Probably the best thing is just to keep an eye of ouffle as you have already been doing.

I'd imagine he would move if he was uncomfortable, nacho used to sleep in his tubes when he was a baby but he doesn't do it anymore because he's much bigger now! It looks like he is in the same cage (duna fun?) too and I think Hammys just like being in the tubes.

Nacho still blocks his tubes up with bedding but he digs through when he needs to...

I don't think you should be concerned. My robo hamsters who are roughly 6-7months old, sleep in their tubes all the time. They love them, and they do cover both ends to sleep. I think most hamsters are natural burrowers in the wild, and i know that robos cover their burrows with whatever they can find. So, if they thought they were in danger, I don't think your hamster would sleep in the tubes.
