How Big Is It? That is one thing I know they cannot have too much food in a certain amount of time. But I have never dealt with a mineral stone before.

I thought I read somewhere that if they have too much at once it can cause issues though I'm not 100% sure. I think they are only meant for an occasional nibble here and there, so to be on the safe side I would probably take the stone away for now.

I'd check with a vet, to be honest. My guys have a stone for just about forever. I throw them out and get new ones after about 2 months.

I'm guessing your ham is actually eating it? I know this might be an odd thing to bring up but one of mine just loves to destroy them instead of eating or licking them, it stops his bar chewing. It just might be worth a check to see if it's been stored instead. If it's actually being eaten then I would check with a vet like DrKMcK suggested and possibly take it away like Buttons suggested.

just take it out after hes chewed it a bit, so you can control how much he eats
