Default Running back and forth in exercise ball?

Hey everyone,

Shakira likes to come out in her ball everyday, but when she does she spends a considerable amount of time running back and forth along a wall/door!? Has anyone elses hammys been doing this?

Hamsters like to run next to the wall because it makes them feel safer. They feel less exposed to predators. Completely normal

I think they feel the draft coming through under the door and hing to escape my hammy goes straight to glass door and looks longingly to out which is heartbreaking I'm sure they wish to be running free outdoors but hey that ain't good for them as they won't survive 1 second /:/

Mine love being by the door to the stairs, the dwarves will only really run up there, up and down the wall like Shakira. The Syrians are a bit more active, they run all over the place. Loki will run up and down for a while if I've left a newspaper by the sofa or if we put a bottle on the floor, he has a run up to get over things like the paper and will keep butting at a bottle until it falls or we move it out of his way, he makes me laugh when he's out

My Basil quite often does this too!We have double doors that separate the living room from the dining room.He goes back & forth by the doors when he is in the living room until we open them & then he tears around the dining room!
When hes had enough, he comes over to the sofa until he finds our feet & bumps into them until we pick him up :OD
