what size wheel for syrian

My syrian felix is a year old and i have an 18 cm rolly wheel for him i find he does not use it much. Is this wheel big enough for him?

I am afraid that an 18cm wheel isn't big enough. The size is probably making him feel uncomfortable when he does use it and hurts his back, so he doesn't use it very much as a result. You need to up the size to at least a 12" wheel (which is roughly 30cm), if you can. Bigger is always better.

No unfortunately it's nowhere near big enough for him. Wheels that are too small can cause pain in there spine when they run which will be why he's not using it.
The absolute minimum for a Syrian is an 8 inch wheel but if I were you I'd get a 11 or 12 inch/28 or 30cm wheel as this is what most Syrians need

Wheel size depends on the syrian, I do have 3 here who can use 8 inch fine, 1 uses a midium rolly just fine too. Breeder syrians though need 12 inch wheels as they're typically much larger than pet shop hamsters. Syrians can range from 80g to near 300g so there is no one size fits all solution to wheels really at the top end 12 inch definitely, at the bottom end the 18-20cm wheels can be fine, it all depends on the hamster. With 12 inch wheels being from as little as £8 there is not really much reason to not use one really though.

Where have you seen them for £8, the cheapest I saw a 11 ot 12 inch was around £15 plus postage and silent spinners about £25 plus postage. Cheapest in shop was a Rolly Polly at £16.

im sorry i measured his wheel and its actually 27cm so it is big enough i think hes just got lazy.
