Default Throwing a Tantrum!

Got home today to find my new Syrian, George, asleep in the tubes on top of his Hamster Heaven! Having had this problem before with a previous hammy, I managed to coax him out and then removed most of the tubes, leaving just two very small dead ends. When George realised the tubes weren't there as before, he went mildly nuts! He climbed the bars at the front of the cage and made a shrill squawking sound at me for about half a minute. He seems to have settled down again now, but I am a bit worried that if he's becoming hostile to me, it's going to be impossible to tame him. Anyone else been in this type of situation?

It'll be fine. I've had hamsters throw strops and sulk before and I think it's so funny. He will get over it!
