No i havent....must get some sorted. We are really missing seeing them playing together. Is it ok to let them share the same playpen that we have set up.....taking it in turns of course. I'm just worried that they will be able to smell each other. Also......trying to give Pip some extra protein....she loves peanuts out of her hamster muesli so going to get some extra. I have som l entils but should I soak these before i give them to her. Any other ideas of good things for her to eat? Also given her some grape and brocolli alongside her usual food.

All ours share the same playpen, no problem. At first i was a bit weary but honestly none of them care My lot eat lentils straight out of the packet, it's mixed in with their food. If you want her to have extra protein, try boiled chicken, rice, baby food (w/meat) , that kind of stuff.

The play pen should be ok, my boys can get a little flustered at times if they smell the girls, I just move the play pen along a bit and give toys a quick rinse in between.

You can also add meal worms, tofu, seeds. The baby food is great, make sure there is no onion or garlic in there though. It''s a huge favorite with all the pompoms

Hello. I guess i should be in breeding section now....but it seemed easier to update in here. I'm pretty positive little Pip is pregnant - she is now very round and 'lumpy' looking. By my reckoning they could be due after the weekend. Sooo I'm going to give the cage its last good clean out on Friday, put a good thick layer of shavings in, put lots of pieces of toilet paper in for her to top up her normal bedding, should I also remove her wheel at this point? Can anyone give me any other tips? I don't think that I will put her in her playpen any more either after tonight...I'm worried she starts in there earlier than I anticipated.

I'm starting to feel a bit anxious for her now. I've also got local vets number at hand that I can ring for advice if need be. Thanks.

Yeah, if you can remove the wheel before birth. If you're worried she's due soon I'd do the clean asap and risk going a bit longer without cleaning if needed.
I'd also take the wheel out sooner rather than later to make sure its gone before she gives birth.

Good luck!

Thanks...probably just me getting anxious. It will be a fortnight on friday we found out she was a girl and the 'strange' behaviour had been going on for 3/4 days beforehand so I think I should be ok ...might clean it Thursday tho just in case!!

Good plan. I know syrian gestation is only 16 days so if its the same for dwarves she could be due any day now.
I hope all goes well for her and the birth
