Default felix a bit manic

felix who is 10 weeks old gets very manic at night when i take him out hes like a little bundle of energy. I had him in the crook of my arm and he lauched out like a missisle onto the carpet he got a wee fright so i grabbed him and then he launched himself into his playbox dont know who got more of a fright lol. Is this normal to be so manic and on the go constantly? do they settle down and get a wee bit slower with age? its a while since i had a hamster so i forget. Hes fine with me in other ways he loves getting petted in cage.

Sorry I didn't see. Yes hamsters usually settle with age, my munchkin used to be all over the place, now he is my snuggle monster ^_^

Sorry, I've only seen your post today. I've got three syrians here at the moment. One comes out and immediately gets inside my cardi and goes to sleep. One runs round like a maniac and the other runs away the minute he sees me unless I have food. As for the ages One is 28 months, one is 18 months and the other is about 11 weeks. I bet you can guess which is which. So yes, they do quieten down with age.

Can you tell that to Luna? She's coming up for 18months and still hasn't settled

She darts around rather than launches herself but my god, 10 minutes of her out and I'm knackered
