Default Syrian gone loopy ...?

So my syrian hamster stewart who is 15 weeks old has been moved into a zz1 and has been there 2 weeks but the last two days he seems to have gone loopy in there, he is literally wrestling with his water bottle and attacking it, climbing up the frame on his wheel getting to the roof hanging off it while chewing it then falling and doing the same thing again, he stands on his hind legs next to his wheel and runs with his front legs on the wheel, he had a wooden house, climbing ladder, and a sputnik but I have removed them as he was hanging on the bars and falling from the roof and he has eaten a sputnik! hes been seriously bar chewing ...

but he never bar chewed before when he was in a smaller wire cage connected via tubing to a larger wire cage, all the toys and stuff are the same he is healthy and alert and lets me handle him fine and is quite happy rolling around in his ball for a while and crawling all over me and eating my hair like he always has but he doesnt seem to happy in his cage

Can you swap him with another ham in another cage if he's really unhappy in there.

I've had a sorta similar problem, but my ham was scared of their new cage rather than trying to get out, but some of the advice people gave me in this thread may help you:
ZZ2 = unhappy hammy?

I think he just wanted some serious cuddles , usually when I go in the room I get him out even just for a minute and I had been building a guinea pig cage over a few days

I filled his cage and he seems to have settled
