Not using wooden chew toys/ Wheel addict?
My new girl Whisper has not even begun to chew on her chew toys. She has at least four different wooden chew blocks in her cage, none have been touched in the four days I have had her. She also got her new wheel two days ago and that seems to be ALL she is doing. Whenever I look in the cage she is in the wheel. She will leave every so often to get a drink but then gets right back on. I'm not sure how old she is but she is still a baby. Are these behaviors normal?

Re: Not using wooden chew toys/ Wheel addict?
mine normally dont chew the chew toys, normally i get bendy logs and things that are usefull, the only one who dose chew them is fred and he peels the bark off things, only once in a while when he decided he is bored of the toy.
running in the wheel is normal behavior. Mine are normally on their wheels once they are awake, I know some think its best to not give a wheel or limit the time on a wheel when babys, but i normally just give it to them, if she runs her weight off then take it out for a while and give her some scrambled egg to put the muscle back on.
The only time mine dont have a wheel is when its being delivered! XD or if they break it lol.

Re: Not using wooden chew toys/ Wheel addict?
My Cowbear used to love his wood chew toys!! He would chew them like mad and then take them all to bed with him like he thought I would take them away from him! I used to love seeing his little barricade of wood chewtoys outside/wedged in his doorway!
I have a funny feeling though that my new baby, Denzel isnt going to be a wood toy chewer.
