Question Constantly Pouched Food?

I'm convinced now that chip is a hybrid as i got him from a pet shop and he hasn't grown since i got him really? (my ickle boy!)
He has always been a nervous hammie but doesn't mind being handled
But ive started noticing that he always has food in his cheeks?
there not totally full to the brim but they always have food in them?
any one else have a hammie that does the same?

My Chinese constantly has at least a couple of things pouched, even when it looks like she hasn't. It's odd with her though, I don't know if perhaps she didn't get much food when she was in the pet shop or something but she's very possessive over her grub. She also gets very agitated when I take the bowl out to refill, it's almost like she's scared it won't come back, bless her soul <3

He was possibly nearly fully grown when you got him. Pouching is pretty normal and varies from ham to ham My robos pouched all the time when they lived together, but now that there's no food competition and they live separately, they only pouch small amounts. Lucy pouches stuff and moves ALL her food to her house.

does chip have any other little quirks that you have noticed?

i had a hamster a few years ago with neurological issues, one of his compulsions was he always had to pouch his food, he would then not unpouch it, it wasnt that he couldnt, he could if i tempted him with something he would take 1 single thing out to make a space for it, but he just wouldnt, he kept the food in there until it rotted, so i had to de pouch him regularly, and even then he would try to eat the food (sometimes rotting if i left it a bit too long, especially if he had fresh veg) rather then have me take it
