Honeydo the jumpy
So ive had Honeydo for more than a week now and i hold her everyday as she isnt very tame. Suddenly when i hold her she randomly jumps out of my hands onto the floor (i always sit on the floor when handling just incase). Nibbles never jumped like this and im worried that she is never going to be tame Any advice?
On the other hand she is loving all the attention

Re: Honeydo the jumpy
Have you tried sitting in the tub with her, maybe put some cushions in with you? That way if she jumps she wont get hurt. I really think all you have to do is handle her a lot. Hammies have different personalities and while it is great that Nibbles was tamed more quickly, it doesn't mean that she will never be tame. Just give it time and good luck.

Re: Honeydo the jumpy
I would sit in the bath with her or on your bed... Ruby can be very jumpy sometimes but just be gentle and if you think she is going to jump then put her down or cup your hands round her.

Re: Honeydo the jumpy
My newest addition Jaffa is exactly the same! I've had her for a week now too, and she will literally just suddenly jump off. I will try the bath tub method me thinks
Im glad shes stopping jumping, theres hope for the Jaffacake!
