Default Bullying

Billie Joe is a bit of a bully towards Tre and Mike, not big fights, just a lot of chasing. They're all fine when they are sleeping, they all sleep in the same house together, it's just when they are active

Quite worrying really because I don't want to split them. Not sure whether I should before things deteriorate

I think some degree of bullying and showing to each other who's the boss is normal, especially with 3 hamsters. I'd wait with separating until it's very obvious that they are not getting along.

Hmmm...this is the worry when two or three are co-habiting and moved into a larger cage, although cage size should help I would imagine. But a new territory can make their behaviour change if one decides he or she wants the space as their own. Chasing and `bum nipping` can be sure signs that something is wrong, so if you see any of this behaviour, I would be concerned. Not so much little tiffs, but actual biting of the rear end. This happened to one of my male robos and his wee bum was in a right scabby mess by the time I realised he was being bullied and split them both up.

Thankfully I haven't seen any violence yet, but am prepared if they are to fall out, which I have a feeling they will x
