Default What to use for a play pen when taming?

So I'm getting my hamster next weekend and obviously I'm gonna have to tame it. I've heard allot of people use the bath when taming a hamster but the problem is I don't have one. So what could I use? I was thinking of getting a big clear plastic box will that be okay?

I read that the hamster playpens you get at pets at home is it the Sammy ones aren't that great. Apparently it's not high enough. I haven't got a clue what a ball pit is I'll search it.

You might have to keep the lid on or devise some way of stopping him getting out. I tried a very similar one (same height) for Holly and he was out of there in about two minutes.
