Two of my hamsters(Daisy and Juju) every night will sit in their cages and watch me. More like stand. They just stand there and stare at me. I say hi and give them treats and such, pet them. Ginger does not do this, she only likes me when I have food and then she snatches it out of my fingers almost taking one with her. My question is do your hammies "watch" your activities?
Also, is it normal for a pregnant hammy to be possessive and mean? I thought both my girls were knocked up but the only thing they have in common activity wise is the nest building and hoarding food. Daisy is so gentle with me.

With pregnant hamsters, it really depends on the hamster. My very first hamster who became pregnant to my sister's hamster (she thought it would be great to breed them, without asking for my permission) didn't show any change in behaviour at all. The first I knew about it was when some babies appeared in her nest. I've only bred syrians a few times and don't remember any of them ever becoming possessive or even aggressive but I've heard of others that have become like this.

as soon as i walk into the room mangos out staring at me standing by his door with his huge puppy eyes, and doesnt stop lol.
mimi didnt become aggressive or possesive, if anything she was friendlier than ever!

i think she was getting desperate to be let out bless her ^_^

Ruby watches everything I do... Its rather creepy! I sometimes walk out the room and she will go do her own thing but as soon as she comes into the room again all eyes on me >.<

As soon as i come in Hamish satres at me but when im gone he goes back to bed ??? And does his own wee thing but as soon as he hears movement at the door hes staring at me !
