Re: Flat out Hamster!
yeh Mo used to do it too - never while she was out as she'd never stop, but always when she was put back in the cage. She adopted a veyr similar position to little miss Daisy here lol

Is this strange? I found it a little weird that he lies flat, then he boots it and runs pretty quickly. Quicker like that than when he is not flat against my mattress or floor. He doesn't do it when he is in his cage though.

It's a natural reaction to being in an exposed place (compared to the cage, which is home territory). He's trying to keep a low profile in case any birds of prey or other threats are in the area.

Re: Flat out Hamster!
Chewy does this too So glad he isn't the only one. One of his other favourite post-playtime nap positions is sat in his sandbath, front feet resting on the side, like he is waiting for dinner or something. He's funny -you can watch him nodding off slowly then coming too suddenly, then nodding off again - like me in lectures!
Sometimes I think he is pooped out when he does it, and sometimes I think he kind of likes being nearer us and the company, but I know that's probably silly x

Yep, Nibble does this as well! After play time, he runs up into his tunnels, then lies down along a horizontal piece with his head hanging down the vertical piece, and falls asleep - so sweet!
(Although he does it less now that he's got his big comfort wheel - now he goes back into his cage and just starts running!)
