just don't fret about it
Old hammies are the sweetest little darlings and no matter how old they'll always bring a smile to your face.
Live every day with them with no regrets and make sure even their last days are the happiest.
I see Peggy get weaker and slower and it makes me burst into tears sometimes, but i tell her everyday that i love her and i treat her like a princess cause she deserves it.
Its hard coming to terms with the fact they will leave us one day, and the nearer it gets the more you don't want to loose them.
But you look back on the life they've had and remember that they came to you for a reason, so that you could watch over them and you could teach each other.
Each new ham brings new knowledge and that special something, and when they leave us it imprints on our hearts for ever xxx

Aww Mel - thats lovely!

Thanks for posting that, I have been thinking recently about maybe waking one day and find that Boris has passed, not sure how I will deal with it, taking his littl body out of the cage - Urg . . . it would break my heart, but your words have helped - I will try and think about it like that from now on.
