This is housing techniquilly(sp?), but since i'm putting pics of the lil guy i thought i'd put it here :)
Was going to use the gallery, but my computer officially won't let me use the gallery :(
Anyway, moved Treo back into his cabinet cage with a new toy i got when on hoilday :D
Top level (the coloured tubes are his new toy, hes liking them so far):

Thanks everyone :D
The coloured tubes are called 'pop tubes' only cost me £4.95 and they were cute so... what the heck!
I'm pleased that his bald patch has disappeared too :)

great cage Mel. you have done a really good job with that. Where was his bald patch? some hamsters do molt in summer.

fluffymunchkins

The bald patch was where his missing 'leg' should be, due to running on the wheel and such.
I wrote about it here: http://www.hamstercentral.com/community/hybrid-hamsters/9683-rubbing.html
But after coming back from holiday, i found it seems to have grown back!

fluffymunchkins

no they are brilliant. it looks awesome. how many hamsters are living in there??

fluffymunchkins
08-10-2010, 07:13 AM
Just Treo, his own bachelor pad :)
But i think it'd be fine for a pair and the levels could easily be spilt into two cages if they fought!

annie81
08-10-2010, 07:16 AM
wow...he is a very lucky hamster. i thought you would have the two drawers as one cage and the big part with the doors as second cage. thats really cool...just imagine all the possibilities...oh well...i think i dont have to tell you that ;-)

annie81
08-10-2010, 07:18 AM
i have just realised you wouldnt see the ham if you would use the drawers as one cage...silly me ;-)

fluffymunchkins
08-10-2010, 07:18 AM
yh, my grandad keeps mentioning about converting the drawers, he wants something to do
I think i'll extend it with the drawers one day :)

annie81
08-10-2010, 07:19 AM
you could build a window into the front of the drawers...

its nice to have a grandpa who wants to do things like that

oh yeh forgot to tell u lot..

i noticed that the wire bit on my 2 cambridge are on opp sides! Did they make the side door on the left with the blue base and right with the red base? Seemed bit odd lol

also fm how did u attach the wooden bridge as a ladder? x

fluffymunchkins
08-13-2010, 09:54 AM
I'm not sure, they might have?
I attached the bridge using cable ties through the holes in the shelf

Amethyst_ice

must be tinnny cable ties..i may do that. I have yet to make shelves for bear that arnt "tasty" plastic...humnph

Mine is a red base and the door is on right hand side. I attach the log things as bridges to the sides of the cambridge. So that Issy can get from the base to the perch to the suspended bridges. cables ties are fab!
