I'd say minimum 60x30cm for two. Have an extra cage ready for emergency separation in case fighting breaks out with two males together which often happens when they start to mature.

ahh ok thanks gonna go buy a new one today as we were told that our 18x12x12 (inches) tank wwould be fine

so im gonna go get a 2ft tank

and if seperation is needed i also have aqauriums so will silicone a divider in if needs be

if i got the 2ft tank if i put a devider in now would it be big enough

like 30cmx30cm30cm be ok for each hamster

Here is a pic of our Chinese home for one hamster. It is a critter's choice glass tank (used to be called Perfecto I think) but the beauty of these is thetop which is well ventilated, a perfect fit and very secure. Chinese climb well so you need a secure lid.
This size is too small for two but the bigger size would be fab. The shelves give extra space.

yep thats the sort im looking to get
would it be big enough if i devided the 2ft in half would each half be sutable for one also im looking for one with shelves too

so basically would 1ftx1ftx1ft be ok for 1 dwarf on each side

If you mean to keep them separated in one tank divided in two then I'd say no as the running space is not great. Ours is about 18in long by 12in wide and has a full half shelf and it is big enough for 1. If you want to keep them separate then you would be better with two tanks as having them both in the same one would be very stressful as they could smell the other hammy in their territory all the time. It would also be hard to clean.

It doesn't need to be a certain length pinky. It is just your signature will not show unless it is more that 20 words!

well neither of the shops that i thought sold them can get them any more

now ive measured up and the biggest tank i can fit is a 30 inch tank

so would

15inchesx12inchesx15inches be ok lxwxh

also both would have a shelve in

for each hammie

If they have already drawn blood then you need to keep them separatly. You will feel much more relaxed when you don't have to worry about fights and the hamsters will be quite happy on their own and likely become more people friendly too. Are they dominant spots or the brown type?
