So, I adopted this male long-haired syrian few weeks ago.
I name him Sumo, as he comes in really small size for his age.
I just wish he can grow as big as Sumo, japan wrestle.
When I adopted him, he is really tiny, like if he just around 2-3 weeks old, while he is already 1,5 months. and he got some "bald" in his head and both sides of his body. You can see it clear when he sleep in one side.
I can even see those reddish skin.. Poor little one..

He also eat so few but drink a lot. He don't like sunflower seed, and others.
All he eat is soyabean and monkey nut. but I can't give it everyday, am I?

I really keep a full attention on him, I even post my worried here to seek for some suggestion but still failed, He didnt like any flaxseed at all.
He just eat hard boiled egg ( 3 times munching ), tofu 2 times munching, beansprouts 2-3 sticks. but, he do love apple.
Greens? Oh, he hates it......

buttt,, here comes the good news.
He isn't bald anymore.
He gain weight/more fur I don't know, but his size is absolutely bigger.
He is more active now ( he loves sleeping when I take him home ), he spend whole night running ( i can hear the wheel sound from a far, imagine how loud it is ) and just stop a while, or stop at all when I am near his cage, he will stand with his 2 back leg, like asking to be handle. After a while, he will be back to his wheel and start making noise again.
I hope he can stay with me longer than the previous one.

I manage to have his pic standing, asking for handling while I put him in small bucket and clean his cage.

There is a stupid thing happen in making his cage right now :(
So, when I adopted him, he is placed in a 8-litre bucket.
He is being there for almost 2 weeks while I am preparing his aquarium cage which he is staying right now, but when it come, I realized the aquarium is way to small for him. its just about 30cmx30cmx30cm :( I feel really sorry for him :( its not big at all. Now, I need time before purchasing another aquarium for him. My house is packed, I am living with my parents, they against me in keeping hamster actually. But I am being stubborn, and I got no place ( and money ) in purchasing bigger cage. I feel really sorry for them ( I got another SH female syrian ).
Its been three days now I am upset and mad at myself making such a small cage :(

The new cage is pretty small but it’s definitely better than the 8litre bucket! Hopefully you can make a bigger cage soon! Try to make a cage that’s atleast 80cmx50cm, which is the recommended minimum cage size for Syrians.

Also i know it’s hard to find hamster products where you live but he really needs a bigger wheel. Using a wheel that small is very painful and dangerous for hamsters because they have to bend backward to run! Syrians need a wheel that’s atleast 20cm (8 inches).

This might sound harsh but since you don’t have a lot of money or space, you really should stop buying hamsters until you can actually support their needs correctly.

I purchase them when they are small :p and its all seems fine until recently. they get bigger, bigger and bigger.... and i start feeling so bad for them.
for wheel, luckily I have purchase 25cm wheel for them which will delivered to my office this week, one for each hamsters.
I thought the minimum one is 100x60? is 80x50 acceptable?

Im glad you could get big enough wheels!

The minimum here is 80x50cm. Some countries recommend 100x50cm as the minimum though.
